- The theme of the conference, “Consumer Vitality with an Eroding Middle Class: Possibility or Pipe Dream?” is intended to focus discussion on how changes in wages, salaries and benefits—including the effects of two decades of stagnant earnings for individuals and households in the middle and lower economic tiers—are affecting consumer decision-making, consumption, and quality of life. - Conference registration will be $325 until January 29, 2016, then go up to $375.
- Rooms will be $179 a night for up to two people in the room, $30 a person for extras. This rate will be in effect for conference attendees from Sunday, March 6 through Thursday, March 11. More information about lodging is on the website.
- We are offering a special pre-conference tour of the city, but concentrating on the revitalization of the Ninth Ward. After the tour, a panel of survivors will tell their Katrina and Rita stories followed by a discussion of family resources for recovery and resiliency from an ecological systems perspective.

To pay by check or money order, mail your 2016 FERMA Conference registration along with remittance to Dena Wise, The University of Tennessee Extension, 218 Morgan Hall, Knoxville TN 37996-4501.
